Strobe Lights for Emergency Responders
Most emergency responders have LED strobe lights on their vehicles. Depending on the type of emergency responder, different types of LED strobe lights may be used. For example, most law enforcement vehicles use red, white, and blue strobe lights.
Police vehicles usually have a light bar installed at the top of their vehicles. This positioning of the strobe lights allows them to be viewed from virtually any and all angles.
Other Uses for Strobe Lights
Outside of law enforcement and other types of first responder situations, strobe lights are common among road construction crews, tow trucks and job sites. In situations like these, the lights may emit different flashing pattern and color (such as yellow). They serve as a warning to others – either to notify vehicles that there is construction on the roadways or that there is traffic
